As a result of this contract, valued at an estimated AUD $22 million, ALS Industrial expects to create 20 new jobs in NDE located onsite at Ashburton North. In addition, the contract supports six existing administration, project management and NDE jobs.
ALS Industrial Group General Manager, Kristen Walsh said this contract is a significant achievement for ALS Industrial and the company is pleased to have the opportunity to create employment opportunities for Australian workers.
“ALS Industrial is proud to be working on the Wheatstone Project and to have the opportunity to support Australian jobs. In addition to providing NDE services to Bechtel on the three Curtis Island LNG projects in Queensland, we look forward to successfully and safely completing the Wheatstone Project contract,” said Ms Walsh.
ALS Industrial uses traditional test methods, digital radiography and automated ultrasonic testing to meet client requirements. ALS Industrial introduced more than 50 personnel to the industry, 10 locally in Gladstone, in the delivery of the Queensland projects alone.
