The ALS Industrial division traces its origins to the long standing inspection and engineering services companies ETRS Pty Ltd (established 1957) and Metlabs Pty Ltd (established 1965). These companies were purchased by PearlStreet Ltd in 2005 and 2007 respectively, and integrated into the PearlStreet Group along with Australian NDT Services, Industrial & Technical Services Pty Ltd and Accura Analytical Laboratories Pty Ltd.
The integration of these companies created the largest inspection and engineering services provider in Australia creating a market leader for provision of:
- Non-Destructive Testing
- Condition Monitoring
- Materials Engineering
- Reliability and Integrity Engineering
- Mechanical testing
In 2007, PearlStreet was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and remained listed until purchased in its entirety by Australian Laboratory Services (ALS) in 2010. Upon acquisition, the ALS Industrial division was formed, providing the same services for which the group had become recognised as an industry leader. Since acquisition, ALS Industrial has made the following strategic acquisitions to enhance our position as a market leader:
- In 2011, Austpower Engineering Pty Ltd was acquired augmenting ALS’ expertise in the provision of technical services to the power industry.
- In 2013, US based Advanced Inspection Technologies (AIT) was acquired to boost ALS’ strength in advanced non-destructive testing methods. AIT is recognised as a global leader in the provision of advanced NDT techniques in the fields of automated ultrasonic testing, computed radiography and digital radiography.
While a relatively new name, ALS Industrial has a long history and offers a wealth of experience in the fields of testing, inspection and engineering.
