Maptek™ Vulcan™ users with an ALS Webtrieve™ account can benefit from a new interface in Vulcan. In the Vulcan Drilling Utilities menu, users have access to the ALS CoreViewer™ option. When activated, they can select a point along a drillhole in Evisage and instantly be directed to that section in their CoreViewer™ portal. CoreViewer™ users have the capability to submit core photos, and manage, archive, and plot geochemical and hyperspectral data alongside the photograph. The integration saves users time by quickly displaying their 3D core data, and providing rapid validation for geological and engineering decisions. Micromine provides a direct integration link to the CoreViewer™ application. Integration with CoreViewer™ makes it easy to incorporate ALS laboratory analyses within the Micromine software window. By simply clicking on a drillhole in the 3D view of Vizex (Micromine’s 3D visual environment) and inspecting the CoreViewer™ data that appears, it is possible to instantaneously compare the physical drill core with its associated geochemical analysis.
Micromine is designed so that more than one CoreViewer™ page may be displayed at the same time, making it possible to simultaneously query multiple holes, ideal for correlating ore between holes.
Geological interpretations in all drillholes can be interrogated in 3D whilst comparing them with the detailed data provided by ALS. Micromine’s tabbed window interface makes it easy to arrange the CoreViewer™ tabs within the main Micromine window, including spanning dual monitors, to simplify the process.
