The Health Science Authority Singapore (HSA) has established standards to ensure that herbal products containing herbs with specific naturally occurring poisons are regulated under the Poisons Act of Singapore. They have to be tested with ACCREDITED testing methods, and the test results must be quantified in the test reports to be within relevant limits. In a recent SAC-SINGLAS audit, ALS Singapore was accredited for two of these poisons (Aconitum Alkaloids and Ephedra Alkaloids), and can offer a simple solution for your testing requirements.

On 25th May 2017, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) added lupin to the list of allergens that food manufacturers must declare on their product labels. This brings the total number of allergens that are required to be declared to 11: added sulphites (concentrations over 10mg/kg); cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats and spelt); peanuts; tree nuts; shellfish; fish, milk, eggs, soy, sesame seeds and lupin.
