Monitoring of coal mine dust levels is a critical process in controlling the risks of exposure to workers and is required under Australian law. ALS offers coal mine dust analysis for occupational exposure assessment and monitoring, with the amount of crystalline silica present able to be determined as part of the analysis.

This one-day, not-for-profit technical seminar organized by Scott Halley and hosted by CSIRO will highlight the similarities between the geochemical signature of Kalgoorlie gold deposits with modern day porphyry and epithermal systems. Pre-metamorphic alteration systems are probably a very common precursor to orogenic gold deposits. Sarah Rice, Senior Geochemist with ALS, will be speaking on ultra-trace 4 acid digestion & ICP-MS/AES at the seminar.
