The ALS laboratory in Waterloo provides reliable and accurate analytical testing services to support the highly-regulated Ontario marketplace. This full-service laboratory offers complete support to the Greater Toronto Area, with depot centres in London, Mississauga, Ottawa, and Richmond Hill. Our technical professionals specialize in remediation, routine monitoring and drinking water testing services. In addition to the routine analyses, our innovative chemists have expanded our capabilities to analyze for water soluble organics such as pharmaceuticals and personal care products, and we recently have introduced air quality testing. ALS realizes that in order to remain as the true industry analytical leader, we must respond to the market demands for innovative analytical solutions to meet those ever changing environmental challenges. Over the past year, our lab has seen a significant demand and growth of PFAS analysis. PFAS has a favourable recommended hold time suitable for shipping out of province for analysis, and the reduced sample size (60 mL) ALS offers for standard analysis lowers the cost of shipping significantly. We offer a subsidized shipping fee for Canadian PFAS work from across the country, convenient locations for sample drop off, and local courier service available at many of our locations. We also support the testing required to comply with current Canadian requirements such as the BC CSR Regulation, Health Canada proposed Guidelines, and Federal Environmental Quality Guidelines.
