CoreViewer™ securely archives core photographs and makes them available online for a one-time fee, removing all difficulties and limitations in file storage and accessibility for historical and on-going drilling projects.
The following key features make CoreViewer™ the best option for core image management:
- Box-by-box and continuous downhole strip views, depth-registered for easy navigation
- Support for multiple sets of images (eg. whole and sawn core)
- Any kind of downhole data may be displayed in the continuous strip view, including field-portable and lab-based geochemistry and assays, geophysical data, measured and interpreted geotechnical parameters, interpreted hyperspectral mineralogy, and spectral parameters
- Fast loading over the web and fully mobile touchscreen compatible, ready to be used on tablets in the core shack for data-augmented core logging
- Merges seamlessly with leading database and 3D modelling programs for deep investigation and validation of geological models
acQuire Technology Solutions Pty Ltd (acQuire) are global specialists in Geoscientific Information Management (GIM). In 1996, acQuire launched GIM software solutions for the natural resources industries, focusing on exploration, resource development and mining assets. Now, more than 450 sites benefit from acQuire GIM solutions and the company currently employs over 100 staff working in seven offices around the globe, with support centres operating in each major time zone.
The partnership with ALS allows acQuire customers, using GIM Suite 2.2 or later versions, to access core images from the ALS CoreViewer™ image library in the Neo dashboard. The integration gives users quick and easy access to comparisons of all project data, such as lithology, assays, geotechnical data, and core images. Miners and explorers now have the most complete and immediate data possible, allowing them to make faster decisions and undertake the sort of detailed planning the industry requires.
Leapfrog® is a leading 3D geological modelling software suite that has revolutionised the way geologists produce models and make decisions in the mining, hydrogeology, and geothermal industries.
Leapfrog® 3D modelling software interfaces directly with ALS CoreViewer™ data retrieval service for seamless checking and verification. Leapfrog Mining, developed by ARANZ Geo Limited is fast, dynamic, 3D geological modelling technology with innovative workflows that enables the best possible understanding of the geology. Leapfrog enables accurate and consistent visualisation of data providing confidence in the interpretation and modelling from early exploration to mine remediation. Multiple hypotheses can be explored, new data added and course corrections made easily as the project proceeds.
Maptek™ Vulcan™ users with an ALS Webtrieve™ account can benefit from a new interface in Vulcan. In the Vulcan Drilling Utilities menu, users have access to the ALS CoreViewer™ option. When activated, users can select a point along a drillhole in Evisage and instantly be directed to that section in the CoreViewer™ portal. CoreViewer™ users have the ability to submit core photos, and manage, archive, and plot geochemical and hyperspectral data alongside the photograph. The integration saves users time by quickly displaying their 3D core data, and providing rapid validation for geological and engineering decisions. This speeds interpretation, aids collaboration, and provides rapid validation for geological and engineering decisions in the complex mine planning and design process.
Micromine provides a direct integration link to the CoreViewer™ application. Integration with CoreViewer™ makes it easy to incorporate ALS laboratory analyses within the Micromine software window. By simply clicking on a drillhole in the 3D view of Vizex (Micromine’s 3D visual environment) and inspecting the CoreViewer™ data that appears, it is possible to instantaneously compare the physical drill core with its associated geochemical analysis.
Micromine is designed so that more than one CoreViewer™ page may be displayed at the same time, making it possible to simultaneously query multiple holes, ideal for correlating ore between holes.
Geological interpretations in all drillholes can be interrogated in 3D whilst comparing them with the detailed data provided by ALS. Micromine’s tabbed window interface makes it easy to arrange the CoreViewer™ tabs within the main Micromine window, including spanning dual monitors, to simplify the process.
