EMERGENCY SPILL RESPONSEThe ALS network of laboratories has been active in petroleum applications for many years and employs appropriate methodologies designed to address the presence of difficult background matrix components that interfere with the determination of many constituents of interest. ALS has the technical expertise and capacity to support significant sampling and analysis activities across the United States, including in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Working under the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) direction, ALS has analyzed marine water, sediment, and tissue samples, related to various oil spills, for several constituents of the crude oil contamination, as well as the dispersants being used to treat the oil. We provide technical advice on sampling techniques and sampling containers.
