The ALS Well Intervention Products & Services’ Torque-Through Knuckle Joint has been designed to provide a Coiled Tubing Bottom Hole Assembly with additional movement and flexibility.
This additional flexibility is often required when the BHA is ran through a restriction or the wellbore has a high degree of deviation.
The Torque-Through design enables the transmission of rotational forces through the Knuckle Joint to other BHA components below. The Torque-Through Knuckle Joint can also be used in centralising Fishing BHAs over fish necks.
The Knuckle Joint provides a 10° angle of deflection and pressure integrity is maintained across this range by internal pressure sealing. The large Through-Bore allows the passage of drop-balls to tools below the Knuckle Joint.
