ALS integrates industry leading tools and technology to provide more comprehensive core scale understanding of the reservoir. This approach allows for more sophisticated subsampling strategies and better macro to micro integration.
Spectral gamma
ALS’ Spectral Gamma Detector is an integrated tool that measures naturally occurring radiation in a core sample.
Ct scan
ALS’ helical CT scanner is a non-destructive tool that uses powerful x-ray photons to create a 3D model of a sample. Data acquisition can be undertaken on whole core, slabbed core, and plug samples, regardless of preservation.
Hyperspectral imaging
ALS’ Hyperspectral Imaging is a non-destructive analytical technique that uses a combination of short-wave infrared light (SWIR) and long-wave infrared light (LWIR) to produce a visual 'map' of the minerals in a core.
Autoscan
ALS' AutoScan Suite is an automated system that measures a variety of rock properties and assists with the characterization of heterogeneity on whole core, slabbed core, and plug samples.
Scratch test
ALS is able to provide direct and continuous measurement of mechanical rock properties using the Epslog scratch device, both at the wellsite or in the laboratory.
Equotip
The Equotip tool provides multi-points profiles of rock hardness and resistance to penetration by rebound of a spring-loaded mass on the core surface.
