Several ALS laboratories around the world work with the client to manage sample transportation and on-site sample collection.
ALS employs trained field technicians and couriers who routinely perform sample pickup, transportation, and sample collection services for its customers.
Sample Collection
ALS can provide you with an experienced staff to perform your sampling requirements. Before a project-specific sampling program begins, the field sampling team will gain thorough knowledge of sample collection procedures, project management, and proper sample preservation/shipment. Sampling methods are followed as described in written Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs), which contain sampling methods developed by regulatory requirements and field experience. Using these SOPs as a guideline, ALS sampling personnel ensures the client that collected samples are representative of the original system or source, fully labeled and identified, and properly preserved and transported to the laboratory.
Sample Equipment
ALS owns and maintains a full list of field sampling equipment, which includes, but is not limited to, submersible sampling pumps, peristaltic pumps, landfill gas analyzer, composite/discrete samplers, pH meters, SCT meters, CO2/H2S/combustible gas meters, dissolved oxygen meters, and sonic interface probes.

Safety
ALS field technicians are required to fulfill the any safety requirements determined by client, local, and national regulations at hazardous waste sites before sampling on the site. When sampling, ALS field technicians are required to sample according to any regulatory guidelines and project-specific Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) or Statement of Work (SOW) provided by the client.
