Sampling & analysis of metals in air

Metals in air can occur both in particle form and as a vapour. Typically release of metals into air is a result of industrial processes, often these processes are related to mining or metal casting, but other industries can also contribute to an increased concentration of certain metals. Metals can occur naturally in the environment however in various concentrations.

Analytical method & sampling procedure

ALS offers analysis for a large number of metals either in analytical suites or as single metals depending on client need.

Depending on the metal to be analysed there are different sampling medias. Our laboratories are recommending tubes, wipes and or filter in accordance with requirements. The analysis will typically be performed in accordance with NIOSH methods or similar.
