Soil, Sediment and Industrial Waste Analysis

Soil, sediment, and industrial waste analysis plays a critical role in environmental contamination assessment, waste classification, and regulatory compliance. Testing covers both total contaminant concentration (Total Concentration analysis) and leachability assessment (Waste Extraction Tests) to evaluate the potential mobility and environmental impact of contaminants.

All analyses are conducted in accordance with internationally recognised standards, including US EPA methods and applicable national regulatory requirements, supporting waste management decisions, contaminated site assessment, and environmental reporting.

Scope of Services

Our soil, sediment, and industrial waste testing services include:

  • Metals and Trace Elements Analysis, including Aluminium, Antimony, Arsenic, Barium, Beryllium, Cadmium, Chromium, Lead, Mercury, Nickel, Selenium, Silver, Zinc, and other regulated elements.
    • Arsenic speciation analysis usingHPLC-ICP-MS
    • Leachability testing such as (Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure, US EPA) and STLC as required by regulatory frameworks
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), including Phenols and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) such as Naphthalene, Anthracene, Benzo[a]pyrene, and chlorophenolic compounds
  • Pesticides, including Organochlorine, Organophosphate, and Carbamate groups, analysed in accordance with US EPA and relevant national regulatory methods

  • Specialised Contaminants, including Cyanide, Dioxins and Furans, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH), Phthalates, Nitrosamines, Trihalomethanes (THMs), and various halogenated compounds

Testing is performed using internationally recognised analytical methodologies to ensure accurate, defensible, and traceable results. Analytical data can be used to support hazardous waste classification, contaminated land investigation, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory compliance reporting.
