ALS has completed the acquisition of Wessling Group, an independent environmental, pharmaceutical and food testing group with a strong presence across 26 locations across Germany, France, Switzerland and Romania.

The acquisition, previously announced on 25 March 2024, adds around 1,200 employees with recognised expertise and local market knowledge in testing and consulting.

ALS CEO and Managing Director, Malcolm Deane, said: "We are thrilled to officially welcome Wessling to ALS."

"The strong alignment between our values and approach makes this acquisition a natural fit. Wessling's expertise, insight, and passion for quality and innovation perfectly complement our own."

The acquisition marks a further step in ALS’ strategic growth agenda and establishes a significant presence in Germany and France, Europe's largest TIC markets, complementing its existing reach in Europe.

“The integration of Wessling not only expands our geographic presence but also enhances our ability to offer a broader range of services,” Malcolm said.

“Our combined capabilities and competitive advantage will unlock significant value opportunities and better position us to drive innovation, excellence and value for clients.”

“It also provides teams with access to shared expertise across all aspects of scientific analysis and business streams.

Teams are working closely together to ensure a smooth integration process for our clients and employees.
