General qualifications for enrolling in studies at our Irving site (Individual studies will have further qualifications)


Potential study participants must be in good general health, be able to read and understand English, and have a valid U.S. government-issued photo ID. Study participants cannot be taking medication for asthma, diabetes or have any autoimmune disorder, and cannot be pregnant, nursing, or planning a pregnancy.

Requirements: Acne-prone skin

    Must have acne-prone skin on the back to qualify
    Does not require previous history of doing patch studies/new patch participants okay

Oral Chew Product

THIS STUDY AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS STARTING MONDAY, MAY 5, 2025

This is a research study related to alleviating the side effects of GLP-1 medications by using over the counter (OTC) oral chew products. These products are currently marketed and can be purchased without a prescription in stores where you normally shop. The sponsor (Prestige Consumer Healthcare, Inc.) wants to learn more about them.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) are a class of drugs used to treat obesity and type 2 diabetes. They work by mimicking the actions of the GLP-1 hormone, which is released by the gut after eating.
GLP-1 help control blood sugar and insulin levels and promote feelings of fullness.

Study Details
2 Visits in office
Up to $200.00 for all complete visits

Requirements: Males and Females, See Qualifications

    • Males and Females
    • Age 18 and older
    • Have or just received a prescription for a non-compounded GLP-1 (examples: exenatide, liraglutide, dulaglutide, and semaglutide); or

       

    • Are just about to do a step-change for a non-compounded GLP-1 (examples: exenatide, liraglutide, dulaglutide, and semaglutide)
      • Step-change only: you have experienced Nausea related to taking one of the non-compound GLP-1 medications listed above

How to become a panelist

ALS has many upcoming studies, and we invite you to participate

Earn extra cash by participating in studies testing personal care products and cosmetics!  Studies can pay $75-$400.  Men and women ages 18-70 of all skin tones are invited to apply. 

You must have an application on file with us to participate in studies. Your application must include your signature on the last page. Applications are entered into our database within a few days of receipt; exact time depends on volume of applications received. We do not conduct overnight studies.
