Exposure to airborne asbestos fibres can cause a range of diseases, including pleural plaques, mesothelioma, lung cancer and asbestosis.






 

Analytical method & sampling procedure

ALS offers analysis of asbestos using PLM, SEM and TEM depending on local legislation and client need.

Sampling of asbestos in air is typically done using membrane filter method, NIOSH or similar, polycarbonate filter or ALS in-house method using sticky tape to collect settled dust.
