Food Microbiological Tests

ALS HK provides testing & consultancy services to evaluate the quality and shelf-life of food products to comply with legal and/or manufacturer’s standards. We provide recommendations and design test plans based on client’s product characteristics. Also providing solution to meet the package requirements as defined in the "Microbiological Guidelines for Food (For Ready-to-eat food in general and specific food items)" by Centre for Food Safety, FEHD, HKSAR.

Food Pesticides & Agrochemicals

The Hong Kong government has subsidiary legislation, the Pesticide Residues in Food Regulation (Cap. 132CM), to govern the pesticide residue levels allowed in food, to facilitate effective regulatory control and ultimately to protect public health.

ALS HK is equipped with the latest State-of-the-art technologies and qualifying staff to provide the most comprehensive and professional Pesticide Residues Testing Service with HOKLAS accreditation including Organochlorine (OC), Organophosphorus (OP), Pyrethroid and Carbamate Pesticides. These comprise around 370 pesticide residues, that we provide screening tests as well as targeted analyte of pesticides monitoring by using GCMS and LC-MSMS.

Pesticide residue analysis is available to the below food items but not the least:
Fruit and Vegetables, Dried Fruit, Cereals & grains, Tea Leaves, Health supplements, Plant-related products. A detailed compound list will be provided upon request.
