The hyperspectral mapping system collects pixel scale spectra data from drill core or RC chip samples, which is integrated with geochemical assay data through ALS Webtrieve™ and CoreViewer™, allowing clients to view and interrogate data anywhere at any time.
Highly detailed spectral data collected by the Core Imaging Spectrometer™ is interpreted through semi-automated algorithms to provide rapid turnaround of a mineral map and associated mineral abundance statistics.
High resolution hyperspectral mineral mapping identifies subtle changes in fine grained alteration minerals that can be difficult to distinguish by eye, allowing alteration assemblages and zonation to be defined and utilised in targeting for exploration and mine development. The data is available as a visual package through ALS CoreViewer™, providing a platform for integration and viewing of detailed hyperspectral data with geological information from core photographs and geochemical assay data.
