The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) includes standards for drinking water, affecting all the approximately 150,000 public water systems in the USA and is enforced by the EPA.

Our network of laboratories across the USA offers regulatory guidance, sampling services and certified drinking water analysis.

Certification plays a major role in the water industry, and all samples submitted to ALS will be tested in accordance with applicable standards, including “National Primary Drinking Water Regulation” (NPDWR), by certified laboratories.

The vast majority of the 90+ regulated contaminants are tested in-house. Any testing outside of ALS scope is performed by certified partner laboratories, upholding the same quality and certification criteria as ALS.

ALS is also an EPA certified UCMR-5 laboratory.
