Flashback historian

Flashback Historian captures, stores and organises plant operational data to provide clear, reliable visibility of how your operation is actually performing.

Processing plants generate large volumes of data across control systems, analysers and supporting infrastructure. Flashback Historian consolidates this data into a single, consistent view, enabling metallurgists, engineers and managers to understand trends, investigate issues and track performance without relying on manual data handling or fragmented systems.

IT AND OT ALIGNMENT

Modern mining operations rely on close alignment between operational technology and information technology. Flashback Historian is designed to integrate cleanly into existing IT and OT environments without creating unmanaged risk.

We work collaboratively with site IT teams to help ensure historian architectures, data flows, access controls and security models align with corporate standards. This includes clear ownership of infrastructure, defined responsibilities and transparency around how data is stored, accessed and protected.

MANAGED, SECURE HOSTING

Flashback Historian is delivered as a managed service hosted on secure virtual server infrastructure operated by ALS.

Under this model, ALS is responsible for server provisioning, maintenance, updates, backups and cyber security management. Client data is securely segregated, access-controlled and protected in accordance with agreed security and governance requirements.

Clients retain ownership of their operational data and are provided controlled access to historian services without the overhead of managing infrastructure, operating systems or security patching. This approach helps reduce internal IT burden while helping maintain strong data governance and system reliability.

CUSTOMISED INTERFACES

Flashback Historian provides configurable, role-appropriate interfaces tailored to the needs of operators, metallurgists, engineers and managers.

Dashboards and reports are designed around how site teams actually work: from real-time process monitoring to daily production review and longer-term performance analysis. Interfaces can be adapted to site naming conventions, KPIs and workflows, helping ensure consistency and ease of use across the organisation.

We provide structured training and documentation to support adoption, enabling teams to confidently use historian data for troubleshooting, optimisation and reporting without reliance on specialist support.
