ALS expands food and environmental testing services with the acquisition of HRL Holdings.

HRL is an industry-leading provider of sampling, laboratory testing, and data management capabilities within the food, environmental, and occupational hygiene industries. Started in 2007 with origins in the field of geothermal explorations, the company transitioned to HRL Holdings as part of the Octief acquisition in 2014 and Precise Consulting in 2015.

Strategically located in Australia and New Zealand, HRL offers a wealth of best-in-class capabilities with their Analytica laboratories, an industry leader in honey and dairy product testing market segments. Additionally, HRL’s Octfolio software system expands our client-facing digital solutions with a fully integrated asbestos testing and data management platform.

The acquisition of HRL significantly increases ALS’ breadth and depth of testing services across the following markets including:

• Food, natural products, and environmental testing – Analytica
• Asbestos & Occupational Hygiene – Octief (Australia), Precise Consulting (New Zealand)
• Data management – Octfolio
