ALS strengthens its position as a market leader in food testing services with the acquisition of Proanaliz

09 AUG 2023 ALS
ALS Limited, (ASX: ALQ), a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification announced the acquisition of the Proanaliz Group of Laboratories, a food testing group based in Antalye, Türkiye. The group’s strong technical team and excellent reputation help make it the country’s market leader in pesticide testing. With satellite labs strategically located in the municipalities of Kumluca, Alasehir, Demre and Fethiye, the group’s proximity to Turkish agricultural producers has enabled it to provide clients with exceptional turnaround times of hours rather than days.

ALS already maintains a strong presence in Türkiye, with environmental and geochemistry testing laboratories in Istanbul, Izmir, Adana, and Samsun. The acquisition of Proanaliz enables ALS to offer the Turkish market broad coverage, with a total of nine laboratories and robust technical support services.

Proanaliz’s Turkish food testing market expertise and client network combined with ALS’ technical expertise and service offering will help ALS grow the group’s testing business in Türkiye, while leveraging the expanded regional presence to serve clients in neighboring countries.

“Proanaliz is an excellent group that provides ALS with unique coverage of the country,” said João Cotta, ALS Food General Manager, Europe. “By investing in the group’s people and technologies, we will improve the delivery of quality services to the Turkish market.”
