Asbestos have historically been used in various application for its durability and fire resistance and can be found in a large no of building material used both indoors and outdoors, including carpets, glues, insolation, tiles, fixe, ventilation tubes and house panels etc. During demolition the asbestos can be released to the air which exposes human to its carcinogenic properties.

Analytical method & sampling procedure

ALS offers analysis of asbestos using PLM, SEM and TEM depending on local legislation and client need.

The material packed in an airtight packaging is analysed after combustion. Settled dust can best collected by sticky tape and analysed.
