A Nifty win in Western Australia

A Nifty win in Western Australia

Posted 20 March 2017

In August 2016, ALS was invited by Metals X Limited to provide a proposal for the contract management of the Nifty Copper on-site laboratory in WA.  A site visit was conducted to review the on-site laboratory and discuss further details with site management.

ALS assumed management of the on-site mine control laboratory on 1 March 2017 and the site will initially operate under pre-existing protocols.  In the ensuing weeks, laboratory equipment, processes and procedures will be upgraded and transition to the ALS model for on-site laboratories.  This will include the installation of the ALS proprietary Laboratory Information Management System – GEMS –  which allows the client full access to all data via the Webtrieve™ interface.

This is now the third on-site laboratory operated by ALS in Western Australia.
