ALS has a world-leading laboratory for accredited metal analysis of clinical samples, serving clients across the fields of occupational medicine, research, forensics, nutrition and clinical studies. Based in Luleå, Sweden, our metal analysis laboratory provides analysis of metals at trace-levels for both human and animal samples – supporting healthcare professionals, researchers and industries globally.

Comprehensive accredited analysis of clinical samples

The accreditation of our metal analysis laboratory covers up to 68 elements, making us a  comprehensively accredited clinical metal analysis laboratory. We analyse a full range of biological matrices, including:

• Whole blood
• Serum & plasma
• Urine
• Other bodily fluids

All analyses are performed using high-resolution ICP-MS (ICP-SFMS) – one of the most sensitive and precise analytical techniques available for trace element and metal determination.
