ALS appoints Rajkumar Mathiravedu as Executive General Manager, Minerals

ALS is pleased to welcome Rajkumar Mathiravedu as Executive General Manager for Minerals.

Rajkumar brings more than 25 years’ experience leading global businesses across the mining, energy and industrial technology sectors, with extensive expertise in operational leadership, digital transformation, strategy and business growth.

He joins ALS from Orica, a global leader in mining and infrastructure services, explosives manufacturing, digital solutions and specialty mining chemicals, where he most recently served as Group Executive and President, Asia, overseeing operations across 13 countries. During his tenure at Orica, Rajkumar also held executive leadership roles in digital solutions and technology. Prior to this, he spent 15 years with Schlumberger, the world’s largest offshore drilling and oilfield services company, in senior positions across the United States, Singapore, Russia, the North Sea and Australasia.

Rajkumar is also the Chair of Global Amira, an independent, member-driven organisation advancing innovation across the minerals industry worldwide and is a Non-Executive Director of Grief Australia.

ALS Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Malcolm Deane said Rajkumar’s appointment comes at an important time for the business as ALS continues to advance its Lab of the Future program.
