Food contact material

In ALS we perform global migration tests to determine the number of non-volatile substances released from a material or object in food simulants and specific migration tests to establish the amount of a given substance released from a material or object in products or simulants. Food specific migration tests are performed with various analytical techniques including ICP-MS, GC-MS, GC-MS / MS and LC-MS / MS.

VOC analysis

For the analysis of volatile organic compounds, we use the EPA TO-17 method, or we analyse the VOCs adsorbed on a selective cartridge (tube) using the thermal desorption technique.
